A canyon reservoir

TPWD lists Lake Alan Henry 45 miles south of Lubbock and 4 miles east of Justiceburg on the Double Mountain Fork of the Brazos River: 2,880 acres, 100 feet at its deepest with a mean depth of 40 feet, impounded in 1993 and controlled by the City of Lubbock. The lake is very narrow with steep banks, and its cover is mostly rock and flooded timber.

Largemouth and spotted bass

Largemouth bass are the most popular fish. TPWD says the lake has produced a number of fish of 8 pounds or more, several of them entered in the ShareLunker program; the lake record weighs 15.00 pounds and was caught on March 31, 2006.
