Greeson pools the Little Missouri in the Ouachitas' pine folds: 7,000 clear acres less famous than Ouachita or Hamilton and better for it: walleye running the river arms each spring, black bass on the rocky points, and the Narrows Dam tailwater adding year-round trout below.

The walleye run

February-March sends walleye up the Little Missouri's arms (the state's classic southern run): jigs in the current seams at night, the river mouths stacking fish by the wave.
