The state park

Eleven Mile State Park covers 7,662 acres around a reservoir of 3,405 surface acres, near Lake George about 38 miles west of Colorado Springs by US 24 and County Roads 90 and 92. CPW says the reservoir is famous among anglers and names trophy rainbow, brown, cutthroat, kokanee and pike. The park has 326 campsites.

Boat ramps

The park has three boat ramps: two in the North Shore area and one at Witcher's Cove on the south side. Witcher's Cove ramp is closed for the season, and the North Shore ramps close on Oct. 31; boats must pass the mandatory inspection before launching. 11 Mile Marina operates at 4224 County Road 92.

CPW's Chapter W-1 (approved Nov. 13, 2025) sets a trout limit of four fish at Eleven Mile, only two of them longer than 16 inches, puts no bag limit on yellow perch and requires ice-fishing shelters to be portable. On the South Platte from below the dam to the Wagon Tongue Gulch Road bridge at Springer Gulch, fishing is with artificial flies and lures only and all trout must be released. Above the reservoir, from Spinney Mountain's outlet to the inlet, all fish must be released and some stretches may close Sept. 15-Dec. 31 for kokanee spawning work.
