A sister lake

Mississinewa Lake covers about 3,200 acres at summer pool on the Mississinewa River in north-central Indiana, one of three Corps flood-control lakes in the region alongside Salamonie and Huntington. It runs somewhat clearer than its neighbours, with rocky shorelines, timber in the upper arms and a fishery built on walleye, crappie, largemouth and smallmouth bass, catfish and bluegill.

Indiana stocks walleye and they hold the rocky points, riprap and channel edges: jigs at dusk in spring, trolled harnesses through summer, and a fall jig bite.
