CPW says this middle section supports rainbow and brown trout, with kokanee salmon running up from Green Mountain Reservoir in the fall, and that public access is ample through parcels of the Blue River State Wildlife Area and national forest land. Below the Colorado 9 bridge, kokanee snagging is allowed from September 1 through December 31.
