The lake

Steamboat Lake covers 1,053 surface acres 25 miles north of Steamboat Springs, with Hahns Peak above it. CPW's management plan for the park notes that the lake holds Gold Medal water designation and that its coves are known for sizable rainbow trout.

Stocking and species
