The lake

The Grand River Dam Authority says Kerr Dam, also known as the Markham Ferry Project and its second hydroelectric plant, was completed in 1964 and created Lake Hudson, a 12,000-acre lake with 200 miles of shoreline. The Oklahoma Water Resources Board gives smaller figures: 11,029 acres, 143.3 miles of shoreline, a normal elevation of 619 feet and a maximum depth of 65 feet. GRDA's Salina Pumped Storage Project sits on the Saline Creek arm.
