The lake

Georgia DNR describes Tobesofkee as a 1,750-acre lake owned and operated by Bibb County near Macon. Homes line the lower end, while the upper end above the Lower Thomaston Road bridge is still relatively undeveloped, and the county recreation department keeps a large bank-fishing area on the upper end called the fingers. Bass and crappie

In its current forecast, updated in March 2026, DNR expects largemouth numbers to stay above the past 12-year average, with up to half the catch from 12 to 20 inches and fair numbers from 20 to 25 inches.
