In Maryland's Atlantic Ocean and coastal bays anglers need a Chesapeake Bay and Coastal Sport Fishing License or, where exempt, the free Maryland Saltwater Angler Registration. Registration is required in designated license-free fishing areas, and Ocean City has two: the town-owned pier and park at Northside Park on 125th Street, and the Chicago Avenue bulkhead between 2nd and 4th streets. Passengers on a boat with a Chesapeake Bay and Coastal Sport Boat License need only the registration.
