Oklahoma's largest reservoir

ODWC calls Eufaula the largest reservoir in Oklahoma at 105,500 surface acres, with 833.9 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 90.2 feet, 10 miles south of I-40 on US 69. It was impounded in 1964 and is operated by the Corps of Engineers for flood control, water supply, hydroelectric power and navigation. ODWC notes that water-level swings, turbidity and siltation have long made management difficult.
