Rockport sits inside a lattice of protected bays (Aransas, Copano, St. Charles, Mesquite) that hold fish through any wind. This is classic Texas wade-fishing country: shell reefs, grass shorelines and back-lake redfish, with the bonus of wintering whooping cranes patrolling the same marshes you fish.
