DOBOR places Waianae Small Boat Harbor just north of Kaneilio Point on Oahu's Waianae coast, about 10 miles northwest of Barbers Point, at 85-491 Farrington Highway. It lists 109 berths, 7 ramps, a vessel washdown, a fish hoist, a pumpout station, restrooms and an ice house and convenience store. Anchoring in Pokai Bay is by permit for 72 hours or less.

DAR regulates the part of Pokai Bay that takes in the Pokai Boat Harbor and the small boat harbor, seaward to a line from Kaneilio Point to Lahilahi Point (HRS 188-35). Inside it you may take legal-size fish in season only with one line, or one rod and line, carrying no more than two hooks; crabs with up to 10 nets no more than two feet across; and shrimp for bait with a hand net no more than three feet in any dimension. Any other fishing or taking of aquatic life there is prohibited.
